June Mishcon
Professional Life Coach

June was raised in Miami Beach by a single mom, in an unusual upbringing. Although she was the fourth child in her family, she grew up as an only child with the exception of occasional visits from her siblings throughout the years. During her formative years she witnessed family members, friends, others in the community suffering from the effects of addiction and alcoholism. Although these experiences left her lacking healthy support which leave the possibility for wounds that can paralyze and lead to despair, remarkably, June emerged from them with a deep understanding and compassion for human suffering, understanding that addiction is a way to cope, a way to survive.

Through a series of unfortunate/challenging life events June developed the desire to be of support to others and found her way to becoming a Professional Life Coach (ICF Certified), Advanced Grief Recovery Method® Specialist – the only Grief Support Program to have received the distinction of being evidence based – and Certified Addiction Counselor.

During her work in an addiction treatment center, she realized how comfortable clients felt with her, as she did with them. Now, practicing on her own, she has the opportunity to be of support to her clients.

In addition to her certifications, June has trained in Shadow Work, Family Constellation, Compassionate Inquiry® and is trauma-informed.

June believes that we all have the answers within. We just need a safe space to find them. Her approach of showing clients compassion toward themselves along with finding their true self offers healing in a new way.

Through her own personal and professional experiences, June believes, very deeply, we are all connected and that we’re not meant to go through life’s challenges alone. We need to find those who can give us support so we can find our strength and independence. The challenges that come to us, come to each of us specifically, to teach us what we need to learn. We just need to be open to the lessons.

As an Advanced Grief Recovery Method® Specialist June offers a 7-week grief program that works well on its own or is a great compliment to those who are currently working with a therapist. For clients who may not feel drawn to the grief program, individual sessions are offered. She offers an initial complimentary phone call to answer any questions and explain how the grief program works.

Grief, often thought of because of the death of a loved one, can be related to divorce/breakup, change of living circumstances, children moving out, change of job, changes in health, loved ones with disabilities, being the family/friend of someone living with addiction, loss of pet, loss of trust, loss of safety, and over 40 life experiences that we often don’t think are related to grief.

As a Professional Coach and Addiction Counselor June understands how we tend to, unknowingly, hang on to life-long limiting beliefs and perceptions and how these beliefs may have helped us in our younger years (to survive) but now can get in the way of everyday life situations (relationships, work, self-care, speaking our truth – just a few examples). She offers support and guides the client to finding within themselves simple, effective, step by step ways to make the changes the client ultimately desires. She offers a complimentary initial phone call to answer any questions.

June cherishes her family and friends and enjoys a particularly loving relationship with her daughter. Over the past few years, she has developed a connection with nature and finds it nourishing to be outdoors. Along with daily meditation, she has come to understand mindfulness in a new way also putting this into daily practice. In her spare time, she volunteers at equine medical therapy for children with special needs. She considers herself a lifelong learner, always striving to deepen her professional skills and her personal growth. She has facilitated and co-facilitated groups offering support with grief and diving into discussions about our soul’s journey. She runs a small support group today, believing in the power of group healing.

“Not every story has a happy ending, ... but the discoveries of science, the teachings of the heart, and the revelations of the soul all assure us that no human being is ever beyond redemption. The possibility of renewal exists so long as life exists. How to support that possibility in others and in ourselves is the ultimate question.”
