Postmodern and Collaborative Therapy
Based on the belief that we create knowledge about our world and ourselves through language, the postmodern collaborative approach to therapy offers opportunities to discover and explore new possibilities. This collaborative approach to therapy views the therapeutic dialogue as a vehicle through which meaning can be explored and redefined. The client is viewed as the expert on his or her own life, while the therapist uses his or her expertise to create an environment that facilitates new conversations about the potential for growth and transformation in the client’s present and future.
