Mindfulness- and Awareness-based approaches
The human mind spends much of the time focusing on past hurts/regrets and the worries of the future. This often excludes the present moment, and when this is the case many experiences in life are lost and may become less meaningful. Can you relate to this?
There is much to see in the present moment, and mindfulness is a practice that focuses on both the mind and body connection in aiding this vision. Mindfulness is the awareness and acceptance of one's experience in the present moment and without judgment. A lot easier said than done, right? Mindfulness is a practice that has been going on since the beginning of time, and it is certainly attainable. Mindfulness deals with learning about your own body and mind, noticing and appreciating experiences in a different way, becoming less judgmental, and learning the importance of one’s breath in relation to life and formal meditation.
