Ari Borinsky, LCSW

Ari Borinsky is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in New York and Florida. Ari is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and he is a SIFI-certified supervisor for social work interns.

Ari holds a B.A. in Spanish Literature and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University and a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Ari has trained in Family Systems Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

Ari's passion for social work dates back to his time living in El Salvador, where he served as a Rural Health & Sanitation volunteer in the Peace Corps. Ari Borinsky, LCSWAfter his service, he pursued a degree in social work so that he could continue utilizing his Spanish language skills while serving a higher good. Ari spent ten years working in different mental health settings in New York City and is now comfortably settled in Miami. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and always strives to provide the highest level of trauma-informed care. Ari's training in somatic psychology guides his practice and he has special expertise in working with clients suffering from mind-body disorders (psycho-physiological conditions). Ari struggled with chronic lower back pain for many years and credits his recovery in large part to the work of Dr. John Sarno. Ari is also heavily influenced by the research of Dr. Gabor Mate and Dr. Bessel Van der Kolk.
