About Vanessa Bibliowicz
Vanessa Bibliowicz holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Miami, a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Nova Southeastern University.
Vanessa has experience working in a variety of different settings - with individuals, couples and families. She previously worked in the Broward School System, where she provides crisis intervention, assessment, and individual therapy for at risk children and young adults.
Vanessa is certified and specializes in Equine Therapy — a transformative therapy where she uses the power of horses to create metaphors and connect life problems to experiences at the barn.
Much of Vanessa’s professional training has been focused on working with couples. She believes in the importance of a loving relationship, not only for the couple, but for the impact it has on the entire family. Vanessa has provided treatment in various emotional and relationship issues including sex therapy, infidelity, family conflict, divorce, re-unification therapy, new parent transition, and more.
Vanessa believes that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives, and one of her most valued relationships are the ones she shares with her clients. She believes that the bond that is developed between the therapist and the client is essential for change, and much of it is based on her complete acceptance and respect.
Vanessa was born and raised in Colombia until the age of 12, when she moved to the US. She is married and is a mother to three children, who she credits for being her best teachers!
Vanessa is proficient in both Spanish and English
Here's a note from Vanessa: “Everyone has difficult life moments, but I’ve always been curious of how some individuals, even through the hardest of challenges, have the resilience to empower themselves, grow, and move forward. These people can teach us that painful experiences can become a gift! Become curious to what is happening around you, and then try not to miss opportunities which have the potential to create something you’ve actually been looking for.”
