During a recent interview for the Miami Herald, I was asked if longboarding without the "therapy" component would be just as effective for my clients. As a therapist, I naturally answered "No," because there is much more involved in a Longboard Therapy® session than the actual skating part. The session involves rapport building, reflecting listening, goal creation, mindfulness-meditation, self-hypnosis, and the development of hope and expectancy, amongst many other factors.
